“ My boyfriend and I tried Early Bird for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and it was amazing! It's such a cute brunch spot, perfect for a cozy morning. I started with the French toast as an appetizer, and it was delicious--sweet, fluffy, and the syrup was the perfect finishing touch. Then, I had the avocado toast, which was also fantastic. My boyfriend had an amazing meal as well, and everything was just spot-on. The service was great, too--friendly and attentive. We definitely plan on returning! ”
“ I stopped in to Early Bird for brunch on a busy Saturday morning. At this location, you can call ahead to put your name on a list, which I did not know. Despite not calling ahead, we were told to expect about a 20 minute wait. Not bad. We ended up getting seats at the bar in much less time. They seem to have a good system in place where they text when your table is ready and you can view your place in line on the Yelp app. The restaurant is cute, modern and simple. There is a lot of seating, with a patio, bar, and additional dining room. Despite the crowd and sitting at the bar, we had rather attentive service. There were some scraps left at our spot that had to be wiped off, which wasn't the best first impression. On to the food! For brunch, I'm always torn between sweet and savory dishes. The menu is giant, with a good range of options and combos for everyone. I went with the cinnamon roll pancakes and a side of turkey bacon, while my dad ordered the corned beef hash. The pancakes were a unique dish that was ultra sweet (obviously). They were essentially pancakes rolled into cinnamon roll shapes, with the frosting, sugar, and cinnamon to match. They were nice and hot when they came out and tasted pretty good. It was just a bit much for me; the turkey bacon, which was cooked perfectly, really helped cut the sweetness! My dad commented that his corned beef hash was different than he expected but good. It was lighter, less greasy, and had a good amount of vegetables. My dish was reasonably priced, but others were on the pricey side for the ambience I thought. I was glad I tried something different. We both left very satisfied, so I'd likely come back to try a savory dish! ”
“ My last day in Omaha I decided to have brunch. Went to another Early Bird but there was no parking. Came to this one and was able to be seated immediately. Ordered the Triple citrus juice... omg! Amazing!!! It does have quite a bit of tartness. So, if that's not your thing, you've been warned. Luckily, it's my thing and it was amazing. I need more of that. Had the #16 combo. Pancake was delicious. Lemon glaze was awesome on the pancake as well. Blueberries were plentiful both in and on the pancake. Bacon fried rice was also good. Very interesting combo of flavors. I probably wouldn't get it again but it was good. Server was very nice. I wish I could remember her name. She was awesome! I'll definitely be back to try more things ”
“ Leslie: "Why would anyone eat anything other than breakfast foods?" Ron: "People are idiots, Leslie." Early Bird is a great stop for either the savory or sweet style breakfast lover. Even greater to us with the newer location on Pacific...much closer. Breakfast Sammies. Benedicts. Bacon. All good, fresh and unique. Waffles: Belgian AND Churro Waffle options! Service is always quick and attentive. They keep my coffee filled up; helping me prepare to Carpe that Diem. Lots of seating, Including a multi season patio. You never really wait long; if at all. ”
“ I came In for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. It was nice and quiet. The place is very clean and relaxing decor. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my steak omelet and my guest had the huevos rancheros and really enjoyed those. The black coffee was smooth and nice. They have a good variety in the menu and thankfully some gluten free options. I'll look forward to coming back. ”
“ My son and I decided to get some breakfast one morning since I was waiting for some work to get done on my car. The food was absolutely delicious, service was great, and I'm very happy we stopped in. I wasn't too sure about this place but will definitely be back. Only reason I left one star out was I got some spiked coffee for my husband and it wasn't very good. Felt like they just threw in alcohol with some chocolate powder and black coffee. Definitely was not worth the price tag. As long as you stay clear of that, everything else is good. ”
“ We have visited twice now. Once on my birthday and then again on my daughter's birthday. Service was excellent, Food was even better. Would recommend 10/10. Bring your appetite because it's a lot of food and it is oh so good!! Sausage gravy has the perfect amount of seasoning, chicken fried steak is awesome, chicken tenders were amazingly tender and juicy, eggs cooked perfectly, waffles crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside, and those has holes were awesome!! ”
“ Five stars for this Early Bird restaurant located on the westside. This morning, there were no crowds, making it easy to walk through the doors without a wait. Service was very quick, professional, and thorough. The chicken fried steak was terrific. The crust stuck to the steak very well without any separation. The sourdough toast was a high cut, allowing a nice savory bite with a hint of added jam to the outside. Overall, it was a great breakfast experience as I would have gotten at the Blackstone location. ”
“ My husband and I visited Early Bird for breakfast on his birthday. We had heard great things about Early Bird, and were excited to give it a try ourselves - and it was absolutely exactly how he wanted to start his special day! When you walk in, the ambiance of the restaurant is super fun and bright. There were cute breakfast-themed paintings on the walls, with a palette of bright yellow and dusky blue, paired with simple brick accents and wooden tables. The layout of the restaurant was interesting - it looked small when you walk in, but there are a few other rooms that wind through a hallway, and there is more dining space there. There's also a little area out front that's an enclosed patio area (or at least it was enclosed when we went in winter). Our server was excellent and gave us her recommendations about what she likes to order. We took a few of her tips and they were excellent choices! We started with a few pancake options (it was a birthday celebration and our first time, so we may have over ordered LOL): -Oreo Pancakes: These were amazing and definitely best if you have a sweet tooth (I mean, you know what you're getting when you order Oreo pancakes!) They were just normal fluffy pancakes, but covered in crushed Oreos/Oreo dust, some dollops of whipped cream, and then some white icing that tasted like the white filling of an Oreo. -Cinnamon Roll Pancakes: This was one of the recommendations from our server and they were so tasty. They were actually rolled pancakes instead of flat flapjacks. They had a sweet cinnamon filling inside the rolled pancake and then a drizzle on top of caramel and creamy cinnamon syrup. It almost had a nutty, layered taste making it not as sweet as the Oreo Pancakes, believe it or not. Now for our actual non-sweet options - we picked a few things on the menu to share: -Biscuits and Gravy: This is listed just in the "Extras" section, so we weren't thinking they'd be a huge serving, but we were definitely wrong. It was a huge plate of two whole (but halved for easier eating), perfectly toasted English muffins, covered in a rich and heavy sausage gravy. The English muffins having the crispy edges definitely worked to give another texture and cut the gravy a little bit, as there was a lot of it (in a good way!) -Ham I Am Benny: My husband is a fanatic for anything hollandaise, so this was his choice. It came "open faced" as two English Muffins with a piece of ham and an expertly cooked runny egg on top of each. They were super satisfying to me, and had almost an "airy" aftertaste (maybe from the type of ham used?) that made it deceptively light tasting! -AM Pot Pie: I love myself a pot pie in any format, so I couldn't stop myself from ordering this. It had the same scrumptious gravy that was on the Biscuits and Gravy, but it was paired with a larger sized puff pastry that was covered in sausage, gravy, and scrambled eggs (my egg choice). It was so savory and hearty. And of course, I also had to try a coffee option, as it was breakfast time. I got a caramel latte and it was super delicious - perfect mix of coffee and sweetness. Yum! Definitely do not sleep on Early Bird when you're looking for your next lunch or brunch spot. We will definitely be back many many times! ”
“ Visited Early Bird on a Sunday morning and they were slammed. Restaurant is much bigger than I assumed. We had placed ourselves on the Yelp waitlist which came in hand as our wait was only 10 minutes outside. The menu had a variety of items. I got a deconstructed breakfast sandwich which was perfect with a side of cheesy grits. The sando was Wonderful Day which included Sausage patty, candied bacon, smoked gouda, fried egg and house blackberry jam on a buttermilk biscuit. My friend got the El Gordo Bowl. We were both delighted with our selection. Downgraded this restaurant because of drink. My raspberry drink, the Roberto Royale was poorly made and not worth $10.00 was supposed to come with Early Bird Bubbly, Chambord, Fresh Raspberry, Lemon Twist. No raspberry or lemon twist. Very underwhelmed!!! Also our server was frazzled and short at times. I would not order a cocktail in the future here. We also enjoyed the Bird Tarts which was 2 house made toasted pastries filled with blackberry jam. Drizzled with sweet white icing and blackberry jam. This reminded me of fancy toaster strudel. All in all, it was good. I would not wait more than 20 minutes to eat at this venue as it isn't anything special. ”
